SioBond
SIOBOND - a novel adhesive for composite wood products that is emission-free and
inexpensive. SIOBOND is produced from silica, and is quite similar to our fire-protective coating SICOAT-W. In addition to its outstanding adhesive properties, SIOBOND is also fire-resistant.

SIOBOND is an excellent binding material for the production
of composite materials from any form of cellulose, such as
wood, paper, cardboard, straw, cane, bamboo, wood shavings,
sawdust, and agricultural waste. SIOBOND contains no
formaldehydes or other volatile substances.

SIOBOND produces superior results in a wide range of products. It
may be used to create
- Emission-free plywood that is also fire-retardant and pest-resistant. (It falls under category A2 of DIN 4102.)
- Advanced construction panels made from reed, bamboo, etc. These panels are fire-retardant and extraordinarily strong.
- Light, fire-retardant panels made from
wood shavings or fibers.
- Emission-free particleboard and OSB board. Partially or completely replacing the traditional binders with SIOBOND results in increased fire resistance.
- Mats of natural fibers (wood, flax, hemp, reeds, hay) for fire-resistant automobile insulation.
- Acoustic ceiling tiles and
heat-insulating products made with SIOPOR.
